What Happens to Donated Inventory After Pickup
Companies often ask where their donation actually ends up. Here is the path a typical pallet takes.
Matching
Before pickup, we confirm a specific 501(c)(3) recipient for the specific product. We verify the EIN, confirm they can receive the quantity and get the no resale agreement signed.
Transport
A carrier picks up at your dock. For regulated goods such as sanitizer or aerosols the load moves under DOT hazmat rules. You get a bill of lading with the pallet count.
Receiving
The nonprofit receives, counts and signs. We collect photos and the written acknowledgment that becomes your tax donation receipt.
Distribution
Food banks move product through partner pantries. Shelters distribute directly to residents. Schools hand supplies to teachers and students. Relief organizations stage for the next deployment.
What cannot be used
Items a recipient cannot use are separated and recycled or destroyed at certified partner facilities, with a Certificate of Destruction. Nothing is dumped.
